Vegware's natural starch cutlery is made mainly from Plastarch Material (PSM). It works really well, as it's heat resistant up to 125C, robust, and safe. Unlike traditional plastic cutlery, Vegware's is made from annually renewable resources. The corn used is grown in China's Shandong region and our suppliers assure us that it is GM free.
It has a good feel and weight, and doesn't melt in your soup or wick away the moisture in your mouth. You can even put it in the dishwasher and use it again.

Our mini spoons are made from PLA, a bioplastic made from corn starch. They are perfect for ice-cream or sampling. They have a smooth finish and a pleasing creamy colour. Please don't use them for hot foods and drinks though, as they misbehave above 50C.
