Composting Network
Landfill is the UK's most expensive and least eco-friendly destination for your waste. You can save money by reducing what goes in your general bin, and up to 90% of all waste can be recycled - the average caterer or office could recycle almost everything. The key starting point is food waste recycling - see our diagrams below on how to go zero waste.
The Vegware composting network is our green dating agency for bins. We work closely with the organics recycling industry to make sure our products can be accepted for recycled together with food waste. Our entire innovative range is compostable - see certification for details. Through our composting network we can help to arrange food and Vegware packaging waste collections with near-complete UK coverage.

We run extensive trials with a variety of organics recycling systems in order to ensure that our products can be included in food waste collections. The two main types of organics recycling are in-vessel composting and anaerobic digestion. Depending on the process which is used, the end products are either nutrient-rich fertiliser, which is beneficial to agriculture, or methane which can be used as a renewable source of heat, electricity, gas or transport fuel. Either way, discarded food and used Vegware disposables are not waste, they are a resource!
There are many reasons to switch to organics recycling. It is cheaper than landfill, easy to implement, boosts your sustainability and reduces your carbon footprint, and makes us less dependent on fossil fuels and petrochemical fertilizers. It is looking likely that food waste will be banned from landfill in the next few years, so now is the time to future-proof your bins, and implement a very simple, very positive change in your workplace, cafe, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
