Our London customers may want to order two days in advance – our Olympic experience taught us that standard deliveries were arriving on the second working day after ordering.

FM World case study on Vegware and Royal Bournemouth Hospital

A Vegware case study is in this issue of FM World, the magazine of the British Institute of Facilities Management. Ian Boughton went to Royal Bournemouth Hospital to discover how using Vegware compostable disposables is cost neutral and makes a huge difference to the environment. The article, Waste Not Want Not, is on page 26. Happy reading!

New case study on Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Royal Bournemouth Hospital has been working together with Vegware since 2008 to reduce the environmental impact of its catering services. Now they use compostable disposables, recycle much more and compost their food and packaging waste. Click here to find out how Catering Manager Terry Reeves and his team have led a cost-neutral eco overhaul to save carbon, boost recycling and divert waste from landfill.

New compostable film bags launched

We have now launched our first compostable film bags. One of our first customers had this to say:

“We have recently taken delivery of our custom bags and are over the moon
with them!

Little Cherry retails a comprehensive range of eco-friendly children’s party
products, which include 100% recycled FSC certified gift wrap and
invitations, printed using vegetable dyes. We were interested in sourcing an
eco-friendly packaging to protect our products through our storage and
distribution process.

We had the choice of using either biodegradable PLA packaging or Vegware’s
line of custom made compostable bags. After looking into both we found that
Vegware’s custom bags were not only far superior in terms of quality and
feel, but they were also more eco-friendly as they are compostable and made
from GM free wood pulp.

We are delighted that our packaging choice does not have a negative effect
on the environment, and very happy that our product presentation is not
compromised.

Vegware were extremely helpful, responsive and knowledgeable throughout, and
we will be happy to continue to use them in the future!”
