Espresso yourself! New Vegware coffee video

There’s a lot of noise around coffee at the moment. With London Coffee Festival and UK Coffee Week going on, we thought we’d team up with Brew Lab coffee bar and Mike “the goose” Gooseberg to make a bit of a song and dance about our preferred black gold. Give it a share if you think a coffee sounds good!

Better yet, it doesn’t just sound good – UK Coffee Week does good by raising funds for Project Waterfall, an initiative established to bring clean water and sanitation to coffee growing communities around the world. Find out more here

We will be offering a limited Saturday delivery service, but please call to check if this is available in your area.

New York City bans polystyrene from 1st July 2015

Polystyrene foam ban in New York City VegwareFrom the 1st of July 2015, foam polystyrene containers are to be banned from the eateries of the Big Apple.  In December 2013, the City Council passed a measure that gave foam-container manufacturers a year to prove that the material could be successfully recycled.

New York is the latest of over 100 cities around the world to ban polystyrene. It may seem cheap to buy, but polystyrene comes at a high environmental cost.

This is part of New York’s wider drive to recycle more – and recycling polystyrene containers is notoriously tricky. According to the US EP in 2008, less than 1% of polystyrene gets recycled. Our partners Vegware US are going to be busy helping NYC go completely compostable.

UK’s 29th fastest growing firm – with 919% growth!

Yup, it’s official!

Last night, Deloitte announced that Vegware is the UK’s 29th fastest growing firm – with growth of 919% over the last 5 years. Looking at the list of the UK’s fastest growth companies, we’re the 4th fastest growing in Scotland. And the cherry on the cake is that we were the top ranked GreenTech firm.

Joe Frankel, our MD and founder, is of course delighted: “Placing in the Fast 50 for the second year running is very satisfying and a testament to the hard work and creativity of the Vegware team. We’ve got lots in the pipeline so look out for Vegware in 2015!”

We wouldn’t keep on growing without our loyal friends, supporters and clients – so here’s a huge thank you for everyone’s continued support and good will.
