Containers
It all starts with containers that are specifically designed for the rigors of reuse programs. Veda containers are NSF Certified to meet food protection and sanitation standards, and are Ecolab Ware tested up to 1,000 washes. Custom embossment and color options are available as well.
Tracking
Every Veda container comes equipped with proprietary barcode tracking and collection technology created by our partner, OZZI®, that integrates with leading campus meal plan systems like Atrium and C BORD.
Collections
The best way to ensure high collection rates is to pair Veda containers with the OZZI collection machine – a “smart” collection receptacle that scans containers and credits the user via token or other means for their return. A less “techy” version of the machine, called the “Drop “N Go” is available as well. Both come with a cart designed to help with wash logistics.
Washing
Once Veda containers are collected, they are either washed on-site or transported to an off-site washing hub, typically via partnership with a “ware wash” service provider.
Reporting
When Veda containers are used with the OZZI machine, collection data is available free of charge and typically delivered on a monthly basis. Some programmes have achieved as high as 97% collection rates.
